Hi, I'm back. I'm doing new stuff inspired on places, some life experiences and life, you know the things that inspire me.
In this opportunity, I bring to you "the soundtrack" I imagined to a local legend from here, Mendoza (Argentina), That talks of true love and sacrifice for it.
The enchanted girl Lake:
An old legend tells that a peaceful native people lived in these lands. They led a quiet life until the Pehuenches began to make regular incursions into their land. The Pehuenche was a very brave native people who quickly alter the local peace.
In an effort to restore the order and ensure a future without lineage clashes, a marriage was arranged by a sorceress, for the benefit of peace. The beautiful daughter of the peaceful cacique, Elcha, would be married by the son of the Pehuenche patriarch. The solution seemed to guide the future of both peoples towards peaceful coexistence in these lands. But Elcha was in love with a young man from her tribe, and not being able to give up the passion that united them, they decided to run away together.
In the hasty escape from the sorceress and the both tribes warriors, they understood that it would be impossible to escape alive, since they quickly realized that they were furiously persecuted. Faced with this circumstance, they made the decision to commit suicide together. So at the highest point over the lake, they threw themselves into the icy waters, wrapped in a final embrace. The wrathful pursuers managed to witness that jump and shouted threats, and suddenly, the spells howled by the sorceress of the tribe were answered with a celestial lightning bolt that petrified her forever on the top of the mountain.
So until now, she can still be seen in her stone prison, condemned to witness how on moonlit nights the reflection of the water returns the image of Elcha, the enchanted girl, who is eternally reunited with her beloved.
